Do you feel like you're constantly battling your own thoughts, feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed, yet unsure how to share what you're feeling? Maybe you’ve been carrying an invisible weight, pushing forward, but wearing a mask that says, “I’m fine.”

Perhaps you feel disconnected, depressed or lonely. You may struggle to sleep, or you struggle to get out of bed. You may find yourself seeking comfort in food, alcohol, or habits that leave you feeling worse. Maybe you’re stuck in a cycle of guilt, anger, or self-blame, unsure how to break free. Maybe you’ve always felt the need to change who you are to fit in—especially if you're a person with neurodivergence—and now the energy to keep pretending is running out.

Relationships may feel confusing or painful, leaving you feeling insecure. Perhaps a recent experience has shaken you, or maybe you don't know why you're feeling the way you are. There may be just a deep sense that life feels hard.

I wonder what life would be like if you could stop fighting that internal battle and you could start to feel seen and heard? What if that weight could be lifted just a little, enough to start to see a different way forward - a new path that leads to hope, to an understanding of who you really are and what you really want. Perhaps you could start to feel like you're alive again, rather than just surviving.

Counselling/psychotherapy offers a space where you don't have to pretend, and you don't have to be "OK". You will be met with warmth and you will not be judged. We would work together to find out what's going on beneath the surface. Over time, we would gradually uncover what's at the root of your depression, anxiety or distress. We would locate the patterns you have developed to protect yourself and explore the reasons you needed them, to see if perhaps these coping mechanisms are now unhelpful and holding you back. We would work together so you can find a new path forward, leading to growth and change.
